We spent our Thanksgiving week here, it was gorgeous. The location is amazing and the staff is superbly friendly. The bar is always busy and has a pretty busy lobby. Families spent a lot of time near the fire pits and the open bar. The food is delicious. The attached restaurant is pretty decent as well. We loved their lunch menu. The hotel offers complimentary hot chocolate and hot cider during the day hrs. The pool was well-heated and the hot tubs were awesome. 5 of them, so have plenty of room. The Christmas tree is gorgeous and live band during evening hours. Great and lively location. Skiing was fun around the slope.
We had a great time here. This was our first time and we received a magnificent room that viewed the fireworks for NYE. Our kids thought it was the coolest and we had a magical stay. The Park Hyatt is truly an incredible place to stay to …
I liked beaver creek because it’s not that crowded, this Park Hyatt is a little old but it has perfect location compared to other resorts in BC. They have ski-in and ski-out service so you don’t need to carry on your heavy shoes and …
The rooms are so warm that even opening windows did nothing to bring the temperature down (probably due to internal building heat required during winter). We were so warm that none of us slept will (we had 2 rooms, total of 5 ppl). …
This was a short trip for my wife, teenage daughter and I. We were at the hotel for three nights and hit the slopes two days. This hotel's location absolutely cannot be beat for skiing IMO. There likely are more luxurious or fancier …
If I could make a 2.5 star review, I would.
Let's cover a couple of topics here : People, Rooms, Bar/Food
The team at the Park Hyatt is exceptional. Friendly, predictive, and accommodating. For a luxury property, I believe they are at or above par and will exceed most expectations.
The property and the rooms are dated. Furnishings are circa late 90's to early 2000. Windows are drafty in the winter. Bathrooms are dated with Holiday Inn style tub basins. Know what you are signing up for at 1000 a night, it's mountain access!
The lobby bar/food....while the staff is incredible and able to spot a thirsty patron from across the bar, the drink menu (as you can expect) will be luxury hotel pricing with cocktails starting at $22+ and most wine pours above $25 for 8oz. Most disappointing is the food, though. Tuna tartare served in vanilla ice cream cones for $32 and Buffalo wings that looked miniature and more deserving of a highway gas station than a luxury hotel.
The Park Hyatt is definitely a luxury stay with access to the village and the mountain, which is its shining star. The firepit and marshmallows for the kids is an exceptional bonus as well. My only guidance is - know what you are signing up for and set your expectations accordingly!
The location is great and the facilities good (although not perhaps fully up to the Park Hyatt standard). The service is underwhelming by Park Hyatt standards, with staff being mostly indifferent to helping guests. Just as one example, we …
The hotel has a great location since its right by the lifts to go skiing but walls and ceiling are very thin since we could hear absolutely everything from above and from the hallway. The bathrooms were outdated. Old shower-head, low …
